Government Contracting
and
Public Procurement
Doing business with government poses unique challenges. Our lawyers have successfully represented clients in several of the largest value procurements in Canada over the past decade. We offer support through the entire procurement cycle, from pre-solicitation strategy, tender drafting, teaming agreements, proposal submission, evaluation analysis, contract award, contract negotiation, contract administration and related litigation.
We have a detailed understanding of the legal, administrative and policy framework within which public procurement occurs. Our approach focuses on leveraging this understanding to help our clients achieve their goals in a collaborative manner.
We advise clients with regard to the Government of Canada’s Integrity Regime and the Ineligibility and Suspension Policy. We advise clients with respect to debarment proceedings, the negotiation of administrative agreements and also provide third-party monitoring and validation services.
In situations where disputes arise, we also have experience representing clients before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal as well as the provincial and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels.
We assist clients with audits of government contract, establish compliance programs and provide compliance training and advice regarding Canada’s Integrity Regime.
